Responsibilities

We're looking for a Software Engineering Manager to join a leading technology organization delivering large-scale digital platforms. This is an exciting opportunity to lead high-performing engineering teams in building secure, scalable, and mission-critical applications that positively impact millions of users.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead one or more engineering teams in the design, development, and delivery of scalable, high-quality software products.
  • Define and drive the technical vision, architecture, and long-term engineering roadmap aligned with business objectives.
  • Partner closely with Product Managers, Designers, and cross-functional stakeholders to prioritize work and deliver customer-focused solutions.
  • Provide technical leadership across the software development lifecycle, from architecture and design through deployment and production support.
  • Establish engineering best practices, coding standards, and development processes to improve software quality, reliability, and team effectiveness.
  • Mentor, coach, and develop engineers through regular feedback, technical guidance, and career development.
  • Drive engineering excellence by promoting scalable system design, automation, testing, observability, and operational best practices.
  • Lead technical discussions, architecture reviews, and engineering decisions across multiple teams.
  • Support the modernization and continuous improvement of existing platforms and technology stacks.
  • Contribute to hiring and building high-performing engineering teams.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and engineering practices to continuously improve product development and delivery.


REQUIREMENTS:

  • 8+ years of experience in Software Engineering, including experience leading engineering teams or technical initiatives.
  • Proven experience designing and delivering large-scale, highly available, cloud-native applications.
  • Strong hands-on experience with one or more backend technologies such as Java, Node.js, TypeScript, or Golang.
  • Experience working with modern frontend frameworks such as React, Next.js, Vue.js, or similar.
  • Strong understanding of software architecture, distributed systems, microservices, and system design principles.
  • Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (AWS preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases, data modelling, and system integration.
  • Experience implementing monitoring, observability, and operational best practices in production environments.
  • Strong understanding of Agile software development methodologies and modern engineering practices.
  • Experience mentoring engineers and providing technical leadership across cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound technical decisions.

  • Experience modernizing legacy systems or leading digital transformation initiatives.
  • Exposure to AI-assisted development tools or modern software engineering workflows.
  • Experience working in fast-paced, product-focused engineering environments.
