Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding symbols
- Prepare materials by cutting, grinding, and cleaning metal surfaces
- Operate welding equipment (MIG, TIG, Arc, etc.) safely and efficiently
- Join metal parts using appropriate welding techniques
- Inspect welds to ensure strength, quality, and accuracy
- Repair damaged metal components and structures
- Maintain welding tools and equipment in good condition
- Follow safety procedures and wear protective equipment at all times
- Measure and align workpieces using tools like calipers and rulers
- Ensure all work meets industry standards and project specifications
- Identify welding defects and perform corrective actions
