Responsibilities
- Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood, plastic, and other materials according to specifications
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to understand project requirements
- Install structures and fixtures such as windows, doors, cabinets, stairs, and furniture
- Repair and renovate wooden structures, including frameworks and fixtures
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery safely and efficiently
- Ensure all work is completed with high accuracy and quality standards
- Inspect and replace damaged framework or materials
- Follow building codes, safety regulations, and project guidelines
- Collaborate with construction workers, supervisors, and other team members
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition
- Estimate material requirements and assist in cost calculations
- Keep the work area clean and organized
