Responsibilities
- Install plumbing systems in new construction projects, including residential, commercial, and industrial buildings.
- Lay out and install pipes for water supply, drainage, sewage, and gas systems according to construction plans.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and building specifications.
- Coordinate with engineers, site supervisors, and other construction workers to ensure proper installation.
- Measure, cut, bend, and assemble pipes using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Install fixtures such as sinks, toilets, bathtubs, and water heaters during building construction.
- Ensure all installations comply with building codes, safety standards, and project requirements.
- Conduct pressure tests and inspections to detect leaks and ensure system functionality.
- Repair or modify existing plumbing systems during renovation or construction adjustments.
- Maintain proper safety practices and use protective equipment on construction sites.
- Handle and transport plumbing materials and equipment safely.
- Follow project timelines and complete assigned tasks within deadlines.
- Report progress and any issues to the site supervisor or project manager.
