Adecco Hiring! Full Time Airfreight Manager in Johor - Ricebowl

Adecco's client is seeking an experienced Airfreight Manager to lead and oversee the Airfreight operations for its Johor Bahru branch. This role is responsible for driving operational excellence, profitability, people leadership, customer satisfaction, and compliance while ensuring alignment with regional and global Airfreight strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute regional and global Airfreight strategies to achieve branch business objectives.
• Lead, coach, and develop the Airfreight team while driving performance and workforce planning.
• Monitor operational KPIs, implement corrective actions, and support change management initiatives.
• Manage the branch Airfreight P&L by controlling costs, optimizing profitability, and ensuring compliance with financial policies.
• Oversee billing, job costing, file maintenance, working capital, and DSO performance.
• Ensure efficient day-to-day Airfreight operations, service quality, productivity, and continuous process improvements.
• Monitor subcontractor performance, manage operational risks, and implement contingency plans where necessary.
• Manage carrier allocations, trade lane performance, and vendor relationships in line with company standards.
• Support the Commercial team by providing competitive pricing, attending customer meetings, and driving customer retention and business growth.
• Ensure customer rates are properly maintained, mitigate commercial risks, and drive accurate data management in CargoWise (CW1).
• Promote compliance with QHSE standards, company policies, sustainability initiatives, and the Code of Conduct.
• Perform any other duties assigned by management from time to time.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Marketing, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline is preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of leadership or management experience within Airfreight, Freight Forwarding, or Logistics.
• Proven experience managing Airfreight operations, profitability, and team performance.
• Strong understanding of freight forwarding operations, carrier management, and logistics processes.
• Experience using CargoWise (CW1) or similar freight management systems is an advantage.
