Job Description

Responsibilities

Adecco's client in Johor, is looking for a Human Resource Business Partner who will play a key role in supporting site-based workforce operations, acting as the primary HR contact for assigned business units. This role focuses on workforce planning for project mobilization and demobilization, employee relations management, and ensuring full compliance with Malaysian labour laws and company policies. Working closely with project managers and site leadership teams, the HRBP will support end-to-end HR activities including performance management, talent development, employee engagement, onboarding, and foreign worker administration.


Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary HR point of contact for assigned business units, providing day-to-day HR advisory and partnering with leaders on workforce planning, organisational changes, manpower forecasting, employee relations, performance management, and employee engagement matters.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders and develop a deep understanding of business operations and workforce requirements to align HR initiatives with organisational goals.
  • Coordinate recruitment activities in partnership with Group Talent Acquisition, supporting manpower planning, candidate sourcing and selection, interview coordination, hiring decisions, and seamless onboarding of new employees.
  • Support the implementation of performance management processes, talent reviews, succession planning, and learning and development initiatives, while partnering with leaders to identify capability gaps and career development opportunities.
  • Liaise with Shared Services on payroll processing, employee movements, benefits administration, and other HR operational matters to ensure accurate and timely service delivery.
  • Support Compensation & Benefits initiatives, including rewards and recognition programmes, while ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and statutory requirements.
  • Drive employee engagement and culture-building initiatives in alignment with Group HR strategies, gathering employee feedback, analysing engagement trends, and supporting action plans to enhance employee experience and organisational effectiveness.
  • Maintain accurate HR records, support HR reporting and analytics, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across HR processes and practices.


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Industrial Relations, Business Administration, or related field
  • Minimum 5–7 years of HR experience, preferably in HRBP, employee relations, or industrial/site HR roles
  • Strong knowledge of Malaysian labour laws and HR best practices
  • Experience in employee relations, disciplinary management, absenteeism, and grievance handling
  • Exposure to foreign worker management and Employment Pass (EP) processes is preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution capabilities with high attention to detail and fairness
