Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Registered Nurse role based at OSC Orthopaedic Specialist Centre in Subang Jaya. The Registered Nurse will provide direct patient care to individuals with orthopaedic and musculoskeletal conditions, including pre- and post-operative patients. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting assessments, monitoring vital signs, administering medications and treatments, assisting with procedures, and coordinating care with physicians and allied health professionals. The role involves preparing patients and operating areas for surgery, supporting post-operative recovery, educating patients and families on care plans, and documenting nursing interventions accurately. The nurse will also help maintain infection control standards, ensure patient safety, and contribute to quality improvement initiatives within the orthopaedic unit.

Qualifications

• Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the relevant nursing council and a valid practicing certificate.
• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
• Clinical experience in orthopaedics, surgical nursing, or acute care settings is highly desirable.
• Strong patient assessment, wound care, pain management, and post-operative nursing skills.
• Proficiency in medication administration, IV therapy, and monitoring of patients undergoing imaging and surgical procedures.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and collaborate with physicians, therapists, and support staff.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to educate and support patients and families.
• Commitment to patient safety, infection control, and adherence to clinical protocols and documentation standards.
• Capacity to manage multiple priorities, work in fast-paced clinical environments, and respond calmly to emergencies.
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required by the department.
• Basic computer literacy for use of electronic medical records and hospital information systems.
