Part-Time Drafter (Construction)

Job Scope / Responsibilities

1. CAD Drafting & Documentation

• Prepare and update construction drawings, including:
  Architectural floor plans
  Structural drawings
  M&E (Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing) layouts
  Detailed sections, elevations, shop drawings
• Amend drawings based on site conditions, consultant comments, and supervisor instructions.

2. Coordination & Compliance

• Ensure all drawings comply with:
  Project specifications
  Local authority guidelines (BCA / URA / SCDF where applicable)
• Coordinate with QS, site team, engineers, ID designers, and subcontractors to ensure drawing accuracy.

3. As-Built Drawings

• Update drawings based on site progress and deviations.
• Produce final as-built documentation for submission.

4. 3D Visualization (If applicable)

• Prepare simple 3D models or layout visualization using:
  SketchUp
  Revit
  AutoCAD 3D
  (Optional depending on skill)

5. Documentation Support

• Assist in preparing detail drawings, construction details, and shop drawings for fabrication.
• Support in updating drawing registers and file management.

6. Ad-Hoc Drafting Tasks

• Mark-up and revise drawings quickly based on WhatsApp/email instructions.
• Simple measurement checks using PDF or CAD tools.
• Prepare layout proposals for clients or authorities.

Working Arrangement (Part-Time / Freelance)

• Work from home or remote drafting.
• Payment based on per-drawing, per-revision, or hourly rate.
• Must be able to respond to urgent markup changes when required.
• Typically 5–20 hours per week depending on project load.

Typical Requirements

• Proficient in AutoCAD (mandatory).
• Experience in construction drafting (architectural, structural, or M&E).
• Able to understand construction drawings.
• Minimum 1–2 years experience in construction or ID projects.
