ITW ECPS Hiring! Full Time Process Engineer in Pulau Pinang - Ricebowl

1. Process Engineering & Optimization 

• Develop, establish, and optimize extrusion process parameters to achieve consistent product quality, dimensional accuracy, and production efficiency. 
• Analyze process capability, yield, scrap rate, and cycle time to drive continuous improvement. 
• Lead troubleshooting of extrusion-related issues such as surface defects, clarity issues, dimensional variation, and material flow problems. 
• Define process windows, control plans, and critical process parameters (CPPs).

2. New Product Introduction (NPI) & Process Validation

• Lead and support new product trials, material qualification, and process development activities. 
• Plan and execute process validation, including DOE, IQ/OQ/PQ where applicable. 
• Collaborate with R&D, Quality, and Production teams to ensure smooth product transfer to mass production. 

3. Automation & Equipment Support 

• Provide engineering support for extrusion equipment and related automation systems. 
• Support implementation, improvement, and optimization of automated handling or robotic systems in production lines. 
• Work closely with Maintenance and Automation teams to improve equipment reliability, uptime, and performance. 

4. Continuous Improvement & Cost Reduction 

• Lead and participate in continuous improvement projects focused on productivity, yield, cost, and safety. 
• Apply Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other structured problem-solving methodologies. 
• Identify and implement improvements in tooling design, equipment layout, and workflow efficiency. 

5. Quality & Compliance 

• Ensure all processes comply with product specifications, quality standards, and internal procedures. 
• Support root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) related to process issues. 
• Monitor key process indicators (KPIs) and drive corrective actions when targets are not met. 

6. Documentation & Technical Reporting 

• Develop and maintain process documentation, including SOPs, work instructions, control plans, and process flow diagrams. 

7. Cross-Functional Collaboration 

• Provide technical guidance and training to technicians and production operators. 
• Support audits, customer visits, and technical reviews when required. 

• Posses STPM/Certificate/Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Polymer Engineering, or related engineering field. 
• Minimum 1–2 years of relevant experience in an industrial manufacturing process. Added advantage if experience in plastic extrusion or a production environment. 
• Experience with industrial robots such as Fanuc, Yaskawa, ABB, or KUKA or knowledge of polymer extrusion processes and automation control systems is an added advantage. 
• Good written and spoken skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia. Able to read and speak Mandarin is an added advantage.
