JOB SUMMARY

• To plan, organise and deliver appropriate learning that promotes the Joy of Learning and guides and encourages students to fulfil their potential.

• Plan, prepare and deliver learning activities that facilitate engaging experiences and rigorous learning.
• Establish and communicate clear objectives and success criteria for all learning activities.
• Prepare classrooms and learning spaces for class activities.
•  Provide a variety of learning materials and resources for use in educational activities.
• Identify and select different resources and methods to meet students' varying needs.
• Monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment.
• Use relevant educational technologies.
• Observe and evaluate student's performance and development.
• Assign and assess class work, homework, tests and assignments.
• Provide appropriate and timely feedback to students on work.
• Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students.
• Maintain accurate and complete records of students' progress and development.
• Prepare required reports on students and activities.
• Maintain discipline in accordance with the disciplinary systems of the school.
• Contribute to the development of schemes of work.
• Conform to school policies and procedures.
• Perform certain duties as requested.
• Participate in the co-curricular activities programme and support school events.
• Communicate necessary information regularly to students, colleagues and parents.
• Keep updated with developments in subject areas, teaching resources and methods and make relevant changes to instructional plans and activities.
• Participate in own professional learning to enrich own practice and contributing to the professional learning of others.
• To model the school Guiding Principles, be an ambassador for the school ensure all communication in and outside of school reflects positively the reputation of the school.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree / Professional Degree in Science. Ideally Biology, Environmental Science, Zoology, Equine Science or equivalent.
• Candidate possessing a Teaching Qualification ie. CIATL, CICTL, PGCE or equivalent are encouraged to apply.
• Good command of spoken and written English.
• At least 5 years teaching experience in a Biology subject preferably with experience of teaching in an international school.
• A preference will be given to candidate who have specialized in Education. Experienced in delivering the IGCSE Biology curriculum, teaching practical Science at KS3 Secondary level, and A-Level Biology.
• Applicant must be willing to work in Ulu Tiram, Johor.
• Applicant must be immediately available to start in August 2026.
