Job Description

Responsibilities

Job Purpose

To ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, manage month-end closing activities, maintain compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations, and support audit and tax-related matters. The role is responsible for preparing and analyzing financial information, performing account reconciliations, and providing reliable financial data to support business operations and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Tax Responsibilities

  • Perform month-end closing activities, including preparation and posting of journal entries

  • Prepare and analyze key financial reports such as Balance Sheet, Income Statement, and Trial Balance

  • Conduct account reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner

  • Support external audit processes, including coordination with auditors and preparation of required documentation

  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies

  • Assist in tax-related matters, including tax filings, reporting, and liaising with tax authorities where required

·       Stabilize Parts Sales transactions, focus on accuracy, timeliness, reconciliation, and process efficiency.

Reporting Line

•                     Reports directly to Finance Manager.

Key Interfaces

•                     Internal: HR, Procurement, Finance Team, Requesting Departments.

•                     External: Suppliers and Service Providers.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

·       Complete month-end closing within the agreed timeline with accuracy.

·       Maintain account reconciliation completion  at monthly.

·       Resolve financial discrepancies within 5 working days.

·       Full compliance with accounting and tax requirements.

·       Stabilize Parts Sales transaction processing by ensuring accurate recording, timely reconciliation, and minimal transaction errors.

Qualifications

•                     Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional

               certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or equivalent) is preferred.

•                     Experience with ERP/accounting systems such as SAP or SAGE 300.

•                     Strong knowledge of financial reporting, account reconciliation, and month-end      

              closing processes.

•                     Familiarity with Malaysian tax regulations and statutory compliance requirements.

•                     Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.

•                     Good analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

•                     Able to work independently and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
