Job Summary

The Senior Specialist, Platform & Infrastructure Operations is responsible for leading the strategy, operations, reliability, security, and lifecycle management of the organization's infrastructure platforms. The role oversees the end-to-end operation of mission-critical technology domains, including Network Infrastructure, Server & Compute, Storage & Backup, Virtualization Platforms, and AI Compute Nodes. The position ensures high availability, performance, scalability, resilience, and operational excellence across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments while driving automation, capacity planning, technology modernization, governance, and continuous service improvement. As a technology leader, the role provides strategic direction, establishes operational standards, manages technical teams, and collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to support business growth, digital transformation, cloud adoption, and AI initiatives.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Leadership and Governance

• Define infrastructure strategy, lead modernization initiatives, and govern technology platforms to ensure secure, scalable, and resilient operations.

• Drive operational excellence, manage resources and investments, and ensure compliance to deliver reliable and cost-effective services.

2. Network Infrastructure Operations

• Lead server and compute operations, manage infrastructure lifecycles, and drive automation initiatives to ensure scalable, resilient, and high-performing platforms.

• Optimize capacity, performance, and availability to support reliable business and technology services.

3. Server & Compute Platform Operations

• Lead server and compute operations, manage infrastructure lifecycles, and drive automation initiatives to ensure scalable, resilient, and high-performing platforms.

4. Storage and Backup Operations

• Lead storage and data protection services, manage backup and recovery operations, and optimize data lifecycle management to ensure secure, resilient, and cost-effective information management.

• Validate recovery readiness and disaster recovery capabilities to meet business continuity and compliance requirements.

5. Virtualization Platform Management

• Lead virtualization and container platforms, manage lifecycle and capacity planning, and drive automation initiatives to ensure scalable, resilient, and high-performing infrastructure.

• Enable hybrid cloud integration and platform engineering practices to improve operational efficiency and service agility.

6. AI Infrastructure & GPU Node Operations

• Lead AI infrastructure and GPU platforms, optimize compute resource utilization, and support AI workloads to ensure scalable, reliable, and high-performance AI operations.

• Collaborate with technology teams to enable efficient AI training, inference, and advanced analytics capabilities..

7. Service Reliability & Operational Excellence

• Establish service management frameworks, lead operational processes, and drive proactive monitoring to ensure reliable, resilient, and high performing services.

• Manage incidents and continuous improvement initiatives to maximize operational stability and service excellence.

8. Security, Risk and Compliance

• Ensure infrastructure security and compliance, manage operational risks, and strengthen resilience programs to protect critical services.

• Support audits, disaster recovery, and business continuity initiatives to maintain secure, compliant, and reliable operations.

9. People Leadership and Stakeholder Management

• Lead and develop infrastructure teams, foster a high-performance culture, and strengthen workforce capabilities to deliver operational excellence and innovation.

• Collaborate with stakeholders and technology partners to align strategic initiatives, manage risks, and achieve business objectives.

Qualification & Work Experience

1. Master’s Degree in Telecommunications, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Data Analytics, or related field from a recognized university.

2. MBA or equivalent is an added advantage

3. Minimum 12 to 15 years in Technical Lead position or People Management role.

4. Proven experience managing large-scale: a. Network Infrastructure, b. Server & Compute Platforms, c. Storage & Backup Systems, d. Virtualization Environments, e. AI Infrastructure or GPU Clusters

5. Experience in cloud, hybrid cloud, or data center environments.

6. Experience managing mission-critical production environments with 24x7 operational requirements.

7. Strong exposure to ITIL, DevOps, and cybersecurity frameworks.

8. Relevant certifications (preferred): ITIL Managing Professional / ITIL Expert, Cisco CCNP / CCIE, VMware VCP / VCAP

9. Microsoft Azure Administrator / Architect

10. AWS Certified Solutions Architect

11. Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE)

12. Certified Data Centre Professional (CDCP)

13. NVIDIA Certified Professional (AI Infrastructure) or equivalent

14. CISSP, CISM, or equivalent security certification
