About Us

Located on Jurong Island, the petrochemical hub of Singapore, SRC operates a refinery that is capable of processing 290,000 barrels of crude oil per day to produce fuel products and chemical feedstocks that are supplied to domestic markets and overseas export markets under the brand labels of its shareholders.

Job Description

  • Review and enhance the Quality Control (QC) system to detect, reduce and correct deficiencies as well as maintain the Quality Assurance (QA) system by performing root cause analysis and ensuring proper training of technicians
  • Assess and recommend as well as commission and validate testing instruments including developing operating procedures, conducting user training and establishing calibration/maintenance schedules
  • Provide technical advice to resolve product quality problems, plant troubleshooting issues and testing disputes
  • Lead in the maintenance and enhancement of the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) including information flow to SAP applications
  • Evaluate policies and procedures to make audit recommendations that maintain the necessary certification standards while ensuring audit trails and necessary documentations are in compliance with established standards
  • Coordinate with shift teams and laboratory internal customers on their requirements to facilitate timely delivery of test results and requisite data as well as manage schedules for sample testing and equipment repairs
  • Propose and implement good housekeeping measures including the proper upkeep of testing equipment, improvements in safety practices and execution of the action items from the laboratory risk assessments

Qualifications

  • Degree or Diploma in Chemistry or a related discipline
  • For Senior Chemist level, candidates should have at least 6 years' relevant experience for Degree holders, or 10 years for Diploma holders
  • Fresh graduates are welcome to apply and may be considered for entry-level Chemist positions.
