Role Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented Cost Estimator specializing in Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) systems to support project teams in preparing accurate cost estimates, budgets, and tender submissions. The role requires strong analytical skills, market knowledge, and the ability to collaborate across disciplines.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
• Review drawings, specifications, and tender documents to identify scope and requirements.
• Source and evaluate quotations from vendors and subcontractors.
• Maintain and update cost data, unit rates, and estimation tools.
• Support value engineering exercises to optimize cost without compromising quality.
• Prepare cost breakdowns, risk assessments, and present findings to management.

Requirements

• Minimum a Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or related discipline.
• 3 years or more of experience in M&E cost estimation within construction or engineering projects.
• Proficiency in estimation software (e.g. Glodon TBQ & TME, AutoCAD).
• Strong knowledge of local codes, standards, and procurement practices.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM6,000.00 per month
