Assistant Computer Officer(s)

The appointee(s) will be responsible for (a) assisting with the planning, development, testing, and deployment of IT platforms of research projects; (b) assisting the IT Manager in ensuring the data and network security of the systems; (c) supporting daily IT operations of the research group, maintaining computer equipment, and providing assistance in troubleshooting hardware and software issues; and (d) providing technical support to different users.

Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related disciplines from a recognised university or technical institute; (ii) hands-on experience in web application development; (iii) knowledge of cloud deployments; (iv) a self-motivated and well-organised work attitude, with good communication and problem-solving skills; (v) the willingness to learn new skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively as a good team member; and (vi) the ability to multitask, work under pressure, and engage effectively with system users. Having knowledge of the medical system development will be an advantage.

Appointment will initially be made on a 1-year contract, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
