Head of Data, APAC · Location: Singapore


  • Location: Hybrid with 2 Days a week in Singapore office
  • Salary: Base salary up to 240,000 SGD DOE + 15% Bonus - please note the Base salary amount is over 12 months and they do not offer the 13th month

The Opportunity:

A global leader in maritime data intelligence is creating a new senior seat to run its data function across Asia Pacific. The sector is moving through rapid geopolitical change, and this business is broadening its reach to help customers navigate risk, regulation and commercial opportunity. This newly created role gives APAC a genuine voice inside a data led business serving a discerning client base.


The Impact You Will Have

  • Build and lead the APAC data and analytics function from the ground up, in a newly created senior seat. From day one you will manage 3-5 direct reports.
  • Act as the most senior data voice in the region, shaping how commercial and product teams use data strategy.
  • Own the quality, validation and construction of datasets underpinning products trusted by a data centric client base.
  • Shape commercial decisions directly, building and presenting plans that influence business direction.
  • Represent data expertise to clients, working with sales and product teams as the business grows regionally.


Experience needed:

  • Proven leadership of teams managing large datasets in a B2B SaaS environment, maritime exposure is an advantage.
  • Strong understanding of data architecture, ingestion, processing, and reporting.
  • Ability to make the organisation AI-ready.
  • Comfort operating across multiple locations, with credibility to align a regional function to global operations.
  • Strong experience leading teams through change and restructure.
  • Ability to interact with customers / stakeholders where needed.
  • A fast, practical problem solver who diagnoses issues quickly and turns them into real improvements.
  • Strong commercial instinct, able to negotiate data partnerships and present investment cases with confidence.
