We're Hiring: Trade Operations Specialist (Containerised)

A global commodity trading company is expanding its Trade Operations team in Singapore — and we're looking for someone who's spent the last few years deep in LCs, shipping docs, and warehouse reconciliations, and actually enjoys it.

This isn't a back-office box-checking role. You'll be the person keeping physical trades moving — from the moment a contract is signed to the moment payment lands — while juggling banks, warehouses, freight forwarders, and an overseas trading desk.

A typical week might involve:

• Reading a contract closely enough to catch what needs to happen next — port declarations, insurance, documentation
• Drafting an LC and going back and forth with a bank until it's airtight
• Chasing down a late payment before it becomes a real problem
• Reconciling warehouse stock and billings so the numbers actually match
• Fielding a documentation request from an overseas office at an inconvenient hour

You'll fit right in if you:

• Have 3–5 years in trade operations, ideally around non-ferrous metals (Aluminium, Copper, Molybdenum) or similar commodities
• Know UCP600 well enough to negotiate directly with banks, not just reference it
• Can talk Incoterms (CIF, CFR, Ex Works) without missing a beat
• Live in Excel — pivot tables and VLOOKUP are second nature
• Have some exposure to LME pricing or warehousing rules
• Are the type who catches the error everyone else scrolled past

Beyond the technical stuff, you're someone who communicates clearly, keeps sensitive information sensitive, and doesn't rattle easily when three things go wrong at once. Trading hours don't always respect the clock, and you're comfortable with that.

Singapore | Core hours 9am–5:45pm, with flexibility for time-zone realities
