We're Hiring: Resource Planning Manager!

Overview

We are seeking a Resource Planning Manager to drive workforce planning, resource allocation, and utilization management across multiple consulting engagements. This role will be responsible for balancing project demand, consultant availability, and business priorities to ensure optimal resource deployment and successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage resource planning, capacity forecasting, and workforce availability across multiple projects and business units.
  • Align consultant skills, experience, certifications, and availability with project requirements.
  • Monitor utilization, bench management, and staffing levels to maximize operational efficiency and profitability.
  • Partner with Delivery Managers, Project Managers, PMO, and business stakeholders to resolve resource conflicts and staffing challenges.
  • Track resource demand, project pipelines, and future workforce requirements.
  • Prepare utilization reports, capacity dashboards, and workforce analytics to support business decisions.
  • Identify resource gaps and recommend hiring, cross-training, or contractor strategies to meet business needs.
  • Maintain accurate resource planning data and support continuous improvement of staffing processes.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Human Resources, Information Technology, Engineering, Project Management, or related field.
  • 4-6+ years of experience in Resource Management, Workforce Planning, PMO, Project Coordination, Delivery Operations, or Consulting Operations.
  • Experience within technology consulting, professional services, systems integration, or digital transformation environments.
  • Strong experience in resource allocation, capacity planning, demand forecasting, workforce scheduling, and utilization tracking.
  • Excellent analytical, stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and resource planning tools.

Nice to Have
  • Experience supporting consulting firms, managed services providers, or technology project delivery teams.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Jira, ServiceNow, Microsoft Project, SAP, Oracle, Workday, Kantata (Mavenlink), Float, or similar platforms.
  • Understanding of utilization KPIs, project budgeting, revenue forecasting, gross margin, and consulting engagement models (T&M and Fixed Price).
