POSITION SUMMARY:

This position responsible for the operational activities of CSSD throughout the particular shift to which assigned. Receives and resends all surgical instruments trays/sets and reports about missing and damaged instruments to the supervisors.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

GENERAL

1. Collect all dirty sets and instruments from other departments.

2. Do a monthly par level checking for all areas.

3. As a person in-charge in cleaning decontamination and packing area

4. Responsible to clean and wash all unsterile items

5. Ensure all washed items being dry properly

6. Carry responsibility in oiling and assembling of all set

7. Arrange all sets to be ready for sterilization process

8. Monitor sterilizer functions

9. Maintain all documents and records

10. Maintain quality control parameters

11. Monitor and supply all sterile items to all units according to requirements

12. Regular evaluation of sterility functions
