Job Description

organization. As Executive, Sales you are responsible for developing, maintaining and expanding MSC’s

customer base in Singapore by promoting MSC’s services as a brand, executing MSC’s business plans,

providing strong customer service to clients, as well as administering daily booking prospects. You will

also have the opportunity to work and communicate across geographical and cultural borders that will

enable you to build a strong professional network.


Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Manager, Sales, your main responsibilities are to increase MSC’s market presence by

canvassing cargoes for specified export trade lanes to achieve target lifting, respond to request for

quotations from customers and / or prospects, as well as maintain customer relationships. Your key

responsibilities include:

Develop new clienteles, maintain and expand local business, cargo bookings through referrals,

newspaper, magazines, MSC’s network and telemarketing;

Develop value-added services products of MSC, i.e. trucking, barging, permit etc;

Achieve KPI of sales visit reporting through CRM portal;

Achieve close level of support with clients through daily contact, regular visit and

entertainment i.e. lunch, dinner, etc., to secure business;

Track destination ports-controlled shipments, to obtain full details from shipper (i.e. full style

address, commodity, rates if any) and send as sales leads to respective Port of Discharge to

secure business;

Ensure customers are familiarized with our online platform services, i.e.: tracking, sailing

schedule, online booking, etc;

Attend to customers’ complaints and co-ordinate with internal departments (Documentation, Operation, Finance and Cargo Flow Management) to resolve any issues and uphold our service commitment to customers.


Who We Are Looking For

Minimum 1 to 3 years of relevant industry experience;

Candidates with a Degree in Maritime/ Business Studies or a related discipline will have an

added advantage;

Strong MS Office software application;

Portnet (preferred);

Strong written & spoken English Skill;

Good Communication and interpersonal skill;

Customer Orientated;

Team Player;

Self-driven and Passionate about dealing with people;

Able to work independently.
