Job Description

Responsibilities

The Human Resources Manager oversees all HR functions to attract, develop, and retain a competent workforce while ensuring compliance with Malaysian labour laws and company policies. The role supports recruitment, training, employee relations, payroll, performance management, staff welfare, and HR administration, contributing to a positive service culture and successful hotel operations.

Key ResponsibilitiesRecruitment & Talent Management

  • Plan and manage recruitment for all positions.
  • Coordinate interviews, onboarding, and employee orientation.
  • Develop succession planning and talent pipelines.

Performance & Training

  • Manage probation, performance appraisals, and KPI reviews.
  • Prepare annual training plans and coordinate employee development programmes.
  • Maintain training records and HRD Corp compliance.

Employee Relations

  • Foster positive employee relations and engagement.
  • Handle grievances, disciplinary matters, and domestic inquiries.
  • Organise staff welfare and recognition programmes.

Payroll & HR Administration

  • Verify payroll accuracy and statutory contributions.
  • Maintain personnel records, attendance, leave, and HR reports.
  • Ensure confidentiality of employee information.

Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with Employment Act, Industrial Relations Act, EPF, SOCSO, EIS, Income Tax, and other statutory requirements.
  • Liaise with government authorities on HR matters.

HR Planning

  • Prepare HR budgets and manpower plans.
  • Monitor staff turnover, absenteeism, and recruitment effectiveness.
  • Recommend improvements to HR policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years' HR management experience, preferably in a hotel or resort.
  • Strong knowledge of Malaysian labour laws, payroll, industrial relations, and HRD Corp.
