Job Description

Responsibilities

The HR Business Partner (HRBP) position is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management in designated business units. The position formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflects the business objectives of the organization.


Key responsibilities

  1. Strategic HR Planning: Partner with the leadership team to develop, drive, and deliver strategic people plan that align with the business vision and priorities.
  2. Employee Relations: Serve as a trusted advisor and point of contact for employees and managers on all HR-related matters, including performance management, conflict resolution, and employee relations issues. Provide coaching and guidance to managers on best practices for handling employee relations issues.
  3. Performance Management: Oversee the performance management process, including goal setting, performance reviews, and coaching managers on performance improvement techniques. Provide training and support to managers on conducting effective performance discussions and goal setting.
  4. PIP: Facilitate and coordinate Performance Improvement Plan (PIP),
  5. Consequence Management & Grievance: Manage consequence management and grievance in accordance with Malaysia Employment Act.
  6. HR Policy and Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant employment laws and regulations. Develop and implement HR policies and procedures to promote fairness, consistency, and legal compliance. Provide guidance to managers and employees on HR policies and procedures.
  7. Collaborate with leaders in managing change, effective organisation design and people planning that supports business strategy.
  8. HR Analytics and Reporting: Utilize HR data and metrics to provide insights and recommendations to senior management. Track key HR metrics and develop reports to measure the effectiveness of HR programs and initiatives.
  9. Onsite employee communications: Serves as the point of contact on employee relations issues, manages/handles issue as appropriate and escalates issues, as needed.
  10. Project Management: Manage HR related projects and initiatives from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and successful outcomes. Coordinate cross-functional teams and stakeholders to achieve project goals and objectives.
  11. Manpower Planning: Conduct workforce analysis to assess current and future talent needs based on business goals and organizational structure. Develop and implement a comprehensive manpower plan to ensure the right number of people with the right skills are available in the right place at the right time. Partner with the Talent Acquisition team to develop targeted recruitment strategies aligned with manpower needs.
  12. Drive process improvement initiative for HRBP Team.
  13. Any other tasks as assign by the superior from time to time.


Position Requirements

  • A recognised bachelor’s degree / Master / PHD in any discipline.
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in human resource / business administration or any other equivalent discipline.
  • At least of 5 years working experience as HRBP / HR Generalist in a related industry.
  • Articulation and presentation skills
  • Quantitative and analytical skills
