Job Summary
Develop firmware and software for advanced communication, positioning, and bioradar systems, following the V-model development process to deliver high-quality embedded solutions.
Responsibilities
- Develop firmware and software for communication, positioning, and bioradar systems to meet product requirements
- Apply the V-model development process including requirement analysis, high-level and low-level design, implementation, unit testing, integration testing, and system testing
- Build and optimize low-level drivers and manage memory efficiently using C and C++ in embedded environments
- Develop and maintain embedded firmware on multi-core microcontrollers with RTOS, ensuring real-time performance and stability
- Implement and troubleshoot embedded communication protocols such as I2C, UART, and SPI to enable device interoperability
- Use debugging tools including oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and firmware debuggers to identify and resolve hardware and software issues
- Collaborate closely with offshore teams and customers in China to ensure alignment and timely delivery of project milestones
- Adapt to fast-paced project demands and manage overtime as needed to meet deadlines
Required competencies and certifications
- Proficient in C and C++ programming for embedded systems, focusing on memory management and low-level driver development
- Experience with embedded operating systems (RTOS) and firmware development on multi-core microcontrollers
- Knowledge of pre-emption, interrupt request (IRQ) handling, and embedded communication protocols (I2C, UART, SPI)
- Skilled in using debugging equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and firmware debuggers
- Ability to coordinate effectively with offshore teams and customers in China
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer engineering, electronic engineering, communication, automation, applied mathematics, or related fields
- Experience with wireless communication technologies including UWB, BLE, WiFi, NFC
- Expertise in MAC and Link Layer protocols
- Experience with ARM Cortex-M series microcontrollers and platforms such as ESP32, Raspberry Pi, Arduino, STM32
- Capability to build toolchains using Python
- Minimum of 5 years of corporate experience
