About The Role
Are you a tech-savvy project manager who knows how to keep complex projects moving? We’re looking for an IT Assistant Project Manager to help drive technology projects and business change initiatives from idea to implementation.
In this role, you’ll connect business needs with technical delivery, working closely with stakeholders, development teams and vendors across different departments and markets. From gathering user requirements and coordinating solution design to testing, deployment and post-go-live support, you’ll help ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the right standard.

Core Responsibilities
IT Project Management & Delivery
- Manage and support IT projects and change requests across the full project lifecycle.
- Develop and track project plans, timelines, milestones and key deliverables.
- Monitor project progress and adapt plans as priorities, requirements or project conditions evolve.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget.
- Coordinate project activities across business teams, technical teams and external vendors.
- Identify project dependencies, risks and issues, and proactively drive mitigation actions.
- Provide clear project updates and escalate critical risks or delivery challenges to the Head of IT.
Business Requirements And Solutions Planning
- Work closely with business stakeholders to understand operational challenges and technology requirements.
- Lead user requirement studies and translate business needs into clear functional and technical requirements.
- Facilitate discussions between technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure alignment on project objectives and solutions.
- Confirm technical requirements and specifications before development and implementation.
- Support solution design and system integration planning in collaboration with development teams and technology partners.
- Assess changes to project requirements and communicate potential impacts on scope, timelines and resources.
Development, Testing & Implementation
- Coordinate software development and system integration activities across internal teams and vendors.
- Support projects delivered using Agile and incremental Software Development Lifecycle methodologies.
- Work with technical teams developing solutions on Azure, ASP.NET and Microsoft SQL Server platforms.
- Coordinate system testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), ensuring requirements and expected outcomes are clearly defined.
- Track and prioritise defects, issues and required fixes with relevant project teams.
- Coordinate system deployment and implementation activities to support a smooth transition into production.
- Ensure project, system and user documentation is completed and maintained.
User Training & Post-Go-Live Support
- Coordinate user training and knowledge transfer for new systems, features and technology changes.
- Work with business users to ensure teams are prepared for system implementation and adoption.
- Manage post-go-live support and coordinate the resolution of implementation issues.
- Monitor user feedback and system performance following deployment.
- Identify opportunities to enhance systems, processes and the overall user experience after implementation.
Stakeholder & Vendor Management
- Manage project stakeholders across different departments and SalesWorks markets.
- Build effective working relationships with business users, technical teams, management and external vendors.
- Facilitate project meetings, workshops and progress reviews to maintain alignment and accountability.
- Coordinate geographically distributed teams and multi-vendor project environments.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and communicate project changes, challenges and decisions clearly.
- Support collaborative problem-solving and conflict resolution across project teams.
Process Improvement & Technology Enablement
- Review existing project and technology delivery processes to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Recommend practical solutions to improve project efficiency, collaboration and delivery quality.
- Support the standardisation of IT project frameworks, processes and documentation.
- Capture project learnings and apply insights to improve future project delivery.
- Explore new technologies and approaches that can enhance business processes and operational efficiency.
- Bring fresh ideas and challenge existing ways of working where better solutions can be introduced.
What We Are Looking For In A Candidate
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Project Management or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in programme management, IT project management or technical solution management within a technology-focused organisation.
- Hands-on experience managing IT projects and technology implementations.
- Experience coordinating geographically distributed teams in multi-vendor environments.
- Experience managing and tracking multiple projects or change requests simultaneously.
- Experience working with Azure, ASP.NET and Microsoft SQL Server platforms.
- Strong knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle methodologies, including Agile and incremental development.
- Experience in cloud-aware application design or cloud-based solutions is a plus.
- PMP, PRINCE2 or Agile certification is an added advantage.
