About the Role

We're looking for a Junior Analytics Engineer to help build and maintain the data transformation layer that powers decision-making across CapBay. Working closely with senior members of the team, you'll learn to turn raw source data into clean, tested, and well-documented datasets that analysts and business teams rely on. This is a hands-on role for someone early in their data career who wants to grow their craft at the intersection of data engineering and analytics — with mentorship, code review, and real ownership that grows over time.

Key Responsibilities:

In this role, you will be expected to:

• Data Modeling and Transformation: Build and maintain DBT models under guidance, following established patterns and conventions to transform raw source data into analytics-ready tables.
• Data Quality & Testing: Write and run tests on the models you work on, helping ensure the numbers the business relies on are accurate.
• Reporting: Produce regular reports for different departments, highlighting performance metrics and actionable insights.
• Problem articulation and solutioning: Understand business problems in allocated domains. Collaborate with business stakeholders to define data requirements. Take the initiative in identifying potential areas of data-driven decision making.
• Data Visualization: Design dashboards and presentations to convey findings and recommendations to the leadership team.
• Collaboration: Engage with cross-functional teams, understanding their analytical needs and offering data-informed suggestions.
• Continuous learning: Stay up-to-date with the latest data analytics tools and techniques.

Key Qualifications & Requirements:

We are looking for someone who is:

• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• Some experience with data through internships, academic projects, or coursework — ideally with exposure to the financial sector or supply chain domain.
• Familiarity/mastery of analytical tools such as Python, SQL, and Excel.
• Familiarity with data visualisation software like Tableau or PowerBI is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail, a problem-solving mindset, and a genuine willingness to learn and take feedback.
• Stellar communication capabilities, encompassing both written and verbal forms.
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
