Job Summary:

Option 1:
Manage the organisation’s environmental sustainability initiatives, ensuring alignment with best practices and regulatory standards. This role involves developing strategic sustainability plans, engaging with stakeholders, and driving projects that promote environmental responsibility and sustainable development.

Option 2:
Manage the planning, implementation, and promotion of eco-sustainability initiatives, driving the organisation’s commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainable development.


Job Description:

  • Strategic Planning and Implementation: Develop and execute comprehensive environmental sustainability strategies that align with the organisation’s goals, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration: Cultivate relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including government agencies, community groups, environmental partners, and eco-advocates, to broaden the impact and reach of sustainability efforts.
  • Project Management: Lead and manage sustainability projects, from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and meet the organisation's environmental objectives.
Environmental Education and Advocacy: Develop and implement educational programmes and campaigns with Environment Protection Volunteer (環保幹事) to promote environmental awareness and sustainable practices among employees, volunteers, and the broader community.

5. Glow On Gallery Operation Support: Provide operational support for the Glow On Gallery, including conducting learning journeys, preparing engagement reports, and implementing improvements, ensuring that sustainability principles are embedded in its activities and exhibitions.

6. Eco-Points Management and Development: Oversee the management and growth of eco-points, ensuring they effectively contribute to the organisation’s sustainability objectives and enhance community engagement.

Monitoring and Evaluation: Continuously monitor and assess the effectiveness of sustainability initiatives, using data and feed to refine and improve programmes.

8. Operational Excellence and Improvement: Continuously refine and enhance operational processes to ensure best practices in sustainability and maximise organisational efficiency.

  • Administrative Duties: Handle administrative tasks related to sustainability initiatives, including budget management, data collection, analytics, sustainability report generation and volunteer coordination to ensure the smooth functioning of sustainability initiatives.

Job Requirements:

Educational
  • ground: A degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, or a related field. A postgraduate qualification in a relevant discipline is desirable.
  • Experience: Proven experience in environmental sustainability, with a track record of successfully managing sustainability projects and initiatives. Experience within the specific industry sector is advantageous. Prior working experience in Environmental Sustainability or Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) roles will be an added advantage.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of environmental regulations, sustainability frameworks, and industry best practices. Familiarity with sustainability reporting standards such as GRI, CDP, or similar. Sound knowledge of Facilities and Sustainability management initiatives such as PUB water efficiency management plan, BCA Green Mark, NEA Energy Efficiency.

  • Project Management: Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Analytical: Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Problem-Solving: Creative and strategic problem-solving abilities, with a focus on sustainability challenges.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail, particularly in sustainability reporting and compliance.
  • Personal Attributes: Passion for environmental sustainability, proactive approach, strong organisational skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and sustainability-related software tools. Knowledge of data management and reporting software is an advantage.
