Job description
- Perform daily inspection, operation, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting of building facilities and M&E systems to ensure smooth and safe operations.
- Operate, inspect, and maintain electrical systems, including Main Switch Boards (MSB), Low Voltage (LV) distribution systems, generators (gensets), transformers, and electrical panels.
- Carry out routine inspection, testing, and basic servicing of generator sets, including recording operating parameters, identifying abnormalities, and coordinating repair works when necessary.
- Monitor electrical equipment performance and ensure all systems comply with safety regulations and statutory requirements.
- Attend to electrical and building maintenance works, including lighting, power supply, plumbing, civil, handyman, and general repair works within the property.
- Respond promptly to breakdowns, emergency calls, and service requests to minimize operational downtime.
- Conduct routine inspections of common areas and building facilities, and report any defects or safety hazards.
- Perform meter readings for electricity and water consumption and maintain accurate records.
- Supervise and coordinate external contractors to ensure maintenance works are completed according to company standards.
- Maintain proper documentation, maintenance records, inspection reports, and service reports.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety procedures, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Participate in emergency response activities and implement contingency procedures when required.
- Practice good housekeeping and ensure tools, equipment, and materials are properly maintained.
- Attend technical training and continuously enhance technical knowledge and skills.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Manager, Assistant Manager, or Supervisor from time to time.
Job Requirements:
- Possess a valid Chargeman AO Certificate issued by the Energy Commission (Suruhanjaya Tenaga).
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in electrical maintenance, facilities management, property management, or building services. Fresh AO certificate holders with relevant technical experience are encouraged to apply.
- Good knowledge of electrical systems, generators, pumps, electrical distribution, and building M&E services.
- Experience in troubleshooting electrical faults and carrying out preventive maintenance.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willing to work on shifts, weekends, public holidays, and attend emergency call-outs when required.
- Responsible, proactive, and committed to workplace safety.
