Sales Engineer
Position Summary: We are looking for a driven and technically competent Sales Engineer to support business growth within the upstream oil & gas, refinery/petrochemical/ports/shipyards sectors/EPC & general industry. This role combines technical expertise with commercial acumen to deliver value-driven solutions to clients across the market.
You will play a key role in developing new business opportunities, supporting clients with engineered solutions, and managing sales-driven projects from initial engagement through to execution and after-sales support.

Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Business Development
- Identify and develop new business opportunities with upstream oil & gas, refinery/petrochemical/port/shipyard sectors/EPC & general industry.
- Build and manage a strong sales pipeline across offshore, onshore, downstream, refineries/power plant, ports/shipyards facilities.
- Conduct client visits, site surveys, and technical discussions to understand operational needs.
- Prepare and submit proposals, tenders, and quotations aligned with client specifications and industry standards.
Technical Sales & Solution Support
- Recommend suitable TESS products, systems, and engineered solutions based on client operational requirements.
- Provide technical consultation for applications in production facilities, process plants, shipyards/ports, general industry, maintenance, and turnaround activities.
- Interpret technical specifications, datasheets, and drawings to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Deliver technical presentations, product demonstrations, and solution briefings to clients.
Sales-Driven Project Coordination
- Manage the full sales cycle from inquiry to delivery, especially for projects & maintenance.
- Coordinate internally with engineering, operations, and workshop teams to ensure smooth execution.
- Track project progress, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with customer expectations.
Client & Stakeholder Management
- Build long-term relationships with operators, contractors, OEMs, and customers.
- Act as a key point of contact for technical and commercial matters.
- Maintain regular engagement with clients to understand evolving needs and ensure customer satisfaction.
Sales Performance & Reporting
- Achieve individual sales targets and contribute to overall business growth.
- Develop sales forecasts, track opportunities, and maintain accurate reporting.
- Monitor pipeline performance and provide updates to management.
Market Intelligence & Industry Insights
- Monitor trends in market & industry requirements.
- Identify opportunities in areas such as asset integrity, maintenance, and system upgrades.
- Track competitor activities and provide market feedback to management.
After-Sales & Technical Support
- Support after-sales activities including troubleshooting and technical clarifications.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely service support.
- Identify opportunities for upgrades, repeat business, and long-term service agreements.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Mechanical, Industrial, or related Engineering discipline.
- Minimum 1–5+ years in technical sales, sales engineering, or project-related roles.
- Experience in upstream oil & gas, refinery/petrochemical/port/shipyard sectors/EPC & general industry is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of industrial systems such as hydraulics, mechanical equipment, or process-related solutions.
- Ability to interpret technical specifications and translate them into commercial proposals.
- Familiarity with EPC projects, plant maintenance, or turnaround activities is an advantage.
- Strong communication and client management skills.
- Willingness to travel for site visits (onshore/offshore as required).
- Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with clients and teams.
- Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Pay: RM3,500.00 - RM5,500.00 per month
