Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement new and existing automation systems, including mechanical, electrical, control, and software components to meet customer and project requirements.
• Design, program, test, and debug PLC ladder logic, HMI, motion control systems, and machine automation software to ensure reliable system performance.
• Develop electrical control panels, wiring schematics, electrical layouts, and select appropriate electrical components in compliance with industry standards.
• Design mechanical assemblies, machine modules, custom automation equipment, and fixtures using CAD software while ensuring manufacturability and ease of assembly.
• Develop, code, test, debug, and optimize software applications to improve machine functionality, hardware utilization, and overall system performance.
• Collaborate closely with Mechanical Design, Electrical Design, Software Engineering, Manufacturing, and Project Management teams to ensure successful project execution and timely delivery.
• Participate in machine commissioning, system integration, Factory Acceptance Test (FAT), Site Acceptance Test (SAT), installation, and customer support activities.
• Perform root cause analysis and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, software, PLC, and automation system issues during development and production.
• Conduct research, feasibility studies, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance machine performance, productivity, and reliability.
• Prepare and maintain engineering documentation, including electrical drawings, mechanical drawings, Bill of Materials (BOM), software documentation, and technical reports.
• Evaluate and integrate new technologies such as Machine Vision, Robotics, Industrial Automation, Servo Systems, Sensors, and Industrial Communication Protocols into product development.
• Provide technical support and engineering solutions to internal production teams, suppliers, service engineers, and customers throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure all engineering designs comply with customer specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.

Key Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Automation Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
• Experience or knowledge in one or more of the following:
• Mechanical Design
• Automation System Design
• Electrical Design
• PLC Programming
• Embedded Systems
• Industrial Software Development
• Robotics
• Machine Vision
• Proficient in one or more programming platforms such as PLC (Siemens, Mitsubishi, Omron, Beckhoff, Allen-Bradley), C/C++, C#, Python, Visual C++, LabVIEW, or equivalent.
• Experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Inventor, Creo, or CATIA is an advantage.
• Knowledge of Industrial Automation, Motion Control, Servo Systems, Pneumatics, Electrical Control Systems, Industrial Networking, and Machine Integration is preferred.
• Experience in Automation Machine Design, Special Purpose Machines (SPM), Semiconductor Equipment, Medical Devices, or Machine Vision Inspection Systems is an added advantage.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
