Our client is a renowned large-scale manufacturing enterprise with 10,000+ global employees and rapidly expanding business footprint across Southeast Asia and Greater China. To support its overseas industrial layout and new factory expansion, we are now recruiting a strategic HR Director to take charge of SEA regional HR operations, based in Singapore.
Base Location: Singapore
Annual Salary: SGD 300,000 – 400,000
Work Nature: Regional leadership role with frequent business trips
•Job Summary
Reporting to the global/regional leadership team, the HR Director will be fully responsible for overall human resource strategy formulation, local policy iteration, organizational development, and full-cycle HR management for Southeast Asia business units. This role focuses on standardizing local HR operations, supporting greenfield factory construction, and ensuring compliant, scalable people management across Thailand, Malaysia and other regional sites.
•Key Responsibilities
1. Develop and implement regional HR strategies, align global HR system standards with local labor laws and cultural practices in Southeast Asia.
2. Oversee end-to-end regional HR functions, including talent acquisition, performance management, compensation & benefits, employee relations, talent retention and organizational development.
3. Provide full HR support for new factory setup and greenfield projects in SEA regions, covering manpower planning, team building, local policy establishment and pre-operation HR deployment.
4. Independently manage and resolve complex labor disputes and HR operational issues in Thailand and Malaysia, ensure stable site operation and compliance management.
5. Build and optimize local HR teams, establish standardized regional HR management processes, and drive continuous improvement of people systems.
6. Conduct high-frequency business trips to Thailand, Hong Kong, Mainland China and other regional branches to support on-site HR management and business expansion needs.
7. Provide regular regional HR data analysis, business reports and strategic suggestions to senior management.
•Job Requirements
1. Bachelor’s degree or above, with solid senior-level HR leadership experience in manufacturing industry.
2. Rich Southeast Asia regional HR management experience, proficient in local labor policies, employment regulations and market practices of Thailand and Malaysia.
3. Proven experience in supporting overseas new factory construction or greenfield project launch is a core advantage.
4. Strong cross-cultural communication, cross-regional coordination and problem-solving capabilities.
5. Fluent in both English and Mandarin, capable of communicating and presenting professionally in bilingual scenarios.
6. Adaptable to frequent cross-border business travel and flexible working arrangement for regional business needs.
