Internal Job title : Manager, Venture Debt

Location: Plaza OSK, KL

WHAT YOU WILL OWN:

• To drive the business targets and key performance indexes in line with the investment portfolio’s strategic goals.
• To identify potential investments and determine their suitability in accordance with the Investment/Fund mandate.
• To conduct due diligence on potential investments, including financial analysis, market research, and risk assessment. Assess and mitigate risks associated with the investments whilst building new investment opportunities. To stay informed about market trends, competitive landscapes, and emerging technologies.
• To negotiate investment terms, structure deals, and manage the investment portfolio.
• Oversee the incubation and acceleration of new investments, ensuring successful launch and growth.
• To review and structure documentation (term sheets, investment agreements, etc).
• To monitor and track the performance of portfolio companies and provide strategic guidance for long term growth and value accretion. Analyse the performance of investments and investment-building initiatives. Prepare regular reports and updates for senior management and stakeholders. To project manage the investment building initiatives.
• To stay informed about market trends, competitive landscapes, and emerging technologies. Research and present industry landscapes for new industry verticals as potential investment/fund focus areas.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND KNOWLEDGE:

• Possess a minimum 10 years’ experience in the related field of corporate and/or banking, venture capital, financial portfolio management, strategy, and business development.
• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Banking, Economics or related field (preferably).
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present investment opportunities in a clear and concise manner.
• Good grasp of various economic and market drivers.
• Knowledge of the technology industry and startup ecosystem is desirable.
• Excel in fast paced and dynamic working environment.
