Training Location:Cyberjaya, Malaysia (1 Month Hands-On Technical Training)

Duration: 1 Month Training + 3 Months On-the-Job Training (OJT)

About The Program

The Hardware Test Engineer Apprenticeship Program prepares aspiring engineers to ensure electronic products perform reliably and meet required quality standards.


Hardware test engineers play a key role in product development by identifying technical issues, evaluating system performance, and ensuring hardware operates correctly before reaching customers.


Through practical training, participants will develop skills in measurement, debugging, testing methods, and hardware evaluation.


Program Structure


The programme consists of 1 month of intensive technical training followed by 3 months of On-the-Job Training (OJT) with a company.


During the training phase at ASEM, Cyberjaya, you will gain practical exposure to:

Hardware Testing Foundation

  • Electronics Instrumentation and Measurement
  • Signal Conditioning with Operational Amplifiers
  • PCB Layout Fundamentals


Embedded System Testing

  • Embedded C Fundamentals
  • Firmware Understanding
  • Device Communication


Testing Connected Systems

  • Linux Fundamentals
  • Bluetooth Low Energy Communication
  • IoT Communication Protocols


Application Understanding

  • Database Integration
  • Real-Time Application Development


During the OJT phase, you will work alongside experienced engineers, applying your technical knowledge to real development projects while gaining valuable industry experience.


Responsibilities

As an Hardware Test Engineer Apprentice, you will:

  • Perform hardware testing and verification activities.
  • Conduct measurements and analyse hardware performance.
  • Assist in identifying hardware failures and technical issues.
  • Support debugging activities during product development.
  • Prepare test reports and documentation.
  • Work with engineering teams to improve product reliability.


Who We're Looking For

  • Hold or are pursuing a Diploma, Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related disciplines.
  • Have basic knowledge of C Programming and Linux fundamentals.
  • Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Are passionate about embedded systems, firmware development, and connected technologies.
  • Are eager to learn through hands-on projects and industry-oriented training.
  • Able to commit to the full training and OJT duration
