About the Role

The Service Engineer is responsible for providing installation, commissioning, preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and technical support for Delta critical power solutions including UPS systems, Rectifier Systems, Battery Systems, and other power infrastructure equipment. The role requires delivering high-quality field service while ensuring customer satisfaction, equipment reliability, and compliance with safety standards.

We are currently seeking a Field Service Engineer to support delivering expert on-site installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting for Delta's critical power infrastructure to ensure equipment reliability and maximum customer satisfaction for our team.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance (PM) and corrective maintenance (CM) on UPS, Rectifier, Battery Systems, and related power equipment.
  • Carry out installation, testing, commissioning, and start-up activities at customer sites.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, electronic, and control system faults.
  • Respond to emergency service calls and restore equipment operation within agreed service response times.
  • Perform battery testing, system health checks, and equipment inspections.
  • Prepare detailed service reports, maintenance records, and technical documentation after each service visit.
  • Provide technical support and recommendations to customers regarding equipment operation and maintenance.
  • Coordinate with internal departments, subcontractors, and customers to ensure smooth service execution.
  • Ensure compliance with company safety procedures and customer site safety requirements.
  • Maintain proper care and calibration of company tools and test equipment.
  • Support service projects, equipment upgrades, retrofits, and warranty activities when required.
  • Perform other duties assigned by the Service Manager.


Requirements

  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Power Engineering, Mechatronics, or related disciplines.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in field service, electrical maintenance, or critical power systems.
  • Basic knowledge of UPS, rectifiers, batteries, PDU, and AC/DC systems.
  • Ability to read electrical/wiring diagrams and operate testing instruments (multimeters, clamp meters, insulation/battery testers).
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, time management, and customer service skills.
  • Able to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Eager to learn new technologies; basic knowledge of communication protocols/monitoring systems is a plus.
  • Possess a valid driving license and willing to travel extensively across Singapore.
  • Available for after-hours, weekend, holiday, or standby work when required.
  • Comfortable working on-site (data centers, telecom sites, industrial/commercial facilities).
