Job Description

Responsibilities

Company Description Toyota Tsusho Mobility Informatics (TTMI) develops fleet management, connected vehicle technology, and intelligent mobility infrastructure for logistics, transport, and goods distribution operators. The company’s work spans route optimization, fleet monitoring, driver management, proof of delivery, and cybersecurity for connected systems, with active projects in autonomous goods logistics, electric fleet management, and renewable energy integration. TTMI Singapore was established by Toyota Tsusho Corporation, Toyota Tsusho Asia Pacific, and Toyota Tsusho Nexty Electronics Thailand, bringing together global resources and regional expertise. As part of the Toyota Tsusho Group, TTMI offers enterprise stability combined with a focused, technology-driven mobility environment for professionals seeking impactful work.

Role Description TTMI is looking for a Bridge Engineer to sit at the center of our connected-mobility development work — the vital link between our OEM customers in Japan and our development team. In this role you'll translate customer (OEM) requirements into clear, actionable direction for the engineering team, keep quality and schedule expectations aligned across both sides, and cut down the communication overhead that so often slows cross-border projects.

The Bridge Engineer will need to work across foundational platform systems for OEM connected services, data collection and analysis platforms, smartphone apps, and the front-end and back-end systems behind OEM mobility services.

This is a role for someone who is equally comfortable in a requirements conversation with a Japanese OEM and in a technical discussion with a development team — someone who brings structure to ambiguity and makes sure nothing gets lost in translation.

This position will need to:

  • Accurately understand and organize customer (OEM) requirements, then convey them clearly to the TTMI development team
  • Act as the bridge for aligning requirement quality, delivery timelines, and shared understanding across both sides
  • Minimize communication cost and friction between the commissioning client and TTMI
  • Align requirements definitions and specifications
  • Clarify and document the scope and content of development requests
  • Support the review of development deliverables

Qualifications

  • Support the review of development deliverables
  • 3+ years of experience in software development or as a Project Manager / Project Leader (PM/PL)
  • Development experience within a subcontracting / multi-tier outsourcing structure (多段階商流)
  • Basic understanding of cloud development, including cloud architecture (AWS) and APIs
  • Basic understanding of the mobility / connected domain
  • Strong documentation skills across a range of technical materials
  • Ability to structure and organize technical requirements
  • Fundamental project management ability
  • Language: Business-level Japanese (for customers / the commissioning client) and English (for the TTMI development team) — this is a bridging role, so both are essential multidisciplinary, multicultural teams.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to present technical information to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to have

  • Prior experience in a bridge engineer, bridge SE, or client-facing technical coordination role
  • Direct experience working with automotive OEMs or in connected-vehicle / telematics projects
  • Hands-on familiarity with AWS services and API-based system integration
