Job Summary
The Fire Safety Manager is responsible for managing the organization's fire safety programme, ensuring compliance with the Fire Services Act 1988 (Act 341), BOMBA requirements, and other relevant Malaysian regulations. The role focuses on fire prevention, emergency preparedness, regulatory compliance, and maintaining a safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement fire safety policies, procedures, and emergency response plans.
- Ensure compliance with BOMBA requirements, Fire Certificate regulations, and applicable fire safety standards.
- Conduct fire risk assessments, inspections, and compliance audits.
- Oversee the maintenance and testing of fire protection systems, including fire alarms, sprinklers, extinguishers, hydrants, and emergency lighting.
- Organise fire drills, emergency response exercises, and fire safety training for employees.
- Liaise with BOMBA, contractors, consultants, and relevant authorities on fire safety matters.
- Investigate fire incidents, prepare reports, and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain fire safety documentation, certifications, and statutory records.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Fire Safety, Engineering, Occupational Safety & Health, Facilities Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in fire safety, facilities management, or HSE.
- Certified Fire Safety Manager (FSM) recognised by BOMBA is preferred.
- Good knowledge of Malaysian fire safety regulations and fire protection systems.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
Pay: RM8,000.00 - RM11,000.00 per month
