We are seeking a meticulous and proactive Senior Accounting Executive specializing in Accounts Payable to join our shared services team. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record managing the end-to-end accounts payable function, including vendor management, cash flow forecasting, and financial reconciliation, along with drive process improvements independently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee the full accounts payable process, including invoice processing, payment disbursements, and reconciliation, ensuring accuracy and timeliness across the team.
- Own cash flow forecasting and planning at both the subsidiaries company and group level, ensuring the availability of funds to meet payment obligations and maintaining liquidity.
- Prepare and review accounts payable reports, taking primary responsibility for contributions to monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts related to payables, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and classified.
- Manage key vendor relationships, ensuring timely payments and resolving escalated discrepancies or issues.
- Review and approve invoice processing, ensuring proper matching with purchase orders and receipts, and providing quality control oversight.
- Lead external audit support, preparing documentation and ensuring compliance with auditing standards.
- Identify, propose, and implement process improvements to enhance accounts payable efficiency and accuracy across the shared services team.
- Stay current on accounting standards and regulations, ensuring payables practices remain compliant, and guide the team on regulatory changes.
- Partner with other departments and entities within the group on financial initiatives, acting as a key point of contact for payables-related matters.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant accounting experience in a shared services or corporate environment strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in cash flow forecasting and financial reporting.
Requirements:
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey financial information clearly to stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to work independently, take ownership of outcomes, and collaborate across teams.
Pay: From RM5,200.00 per month
