Job description:

Key Responsibilities

• Handle full set of accounts including AP, AR, GL, bank reconciliation, and journal entries.
• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports in a timely manner.
• Monitor cash flow, payment schedules, and company expenses.
• Prepare and process supplier payments, staff claims, and petty cash management.
• Ensure proper maintenance of accounting records and supporting documents.
• Assist in budgeting, financial forecasting, and cost monitoring for projects.
• Liaise with auditors, tax agents, company secretary, banks, and government authorities.
• Prepare schedules and documents for audit and tax purposes.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and statutory requirements.
• Monitor SST, EPF, SOCSO, EIS, HRDC, and other statutory submissions and payments.
• Assist in project costing, progress claims, and financial documentation related to construction projects.
• Support management in financial analysis and reporting.
• Supervise and guide junior accounts staff when required.
• Perform any other accounting and finance-related duties assigned by management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of working experience in accounting or finance field.
• Experience in construction industry will be an added advantage.
• Knowledge in full set accounting and financial reporting.
• Familiar with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently with minimum supervision.
• Responsible, detail-oriented, and able to meet deadlines.
• Knowledge in SST and statutory compliance is preferred.
• MIA membership will be an added advantage.

Pay: RM4,500.00 - RM7,500.00 per month
