Key Responsibilities:
Mould Maintenance & Repair
- Conduct routine inspection, cleaning, and minor repairs of lens moulds.
- Assist in troubleshooting mould wear, surface defects, and alignment issues.
- Ensure mould components are properly stored, handled, and protected to prevent damage or contamination.
Quality & Measurement
- Use precision measurement tools (micrometre, dial gauge, height gauge, etc) to verify the accuracy of the components.
- Support documentation of the inspection results, tool maintenance records, and ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Assist in performing surface finishing and polishing to meet specifications.
Production Support
- Work with the production teams to ensure moulds are prepared and delivered according to schedule
- Support mould trials and assist in the adjustment to achieve optimal quality.
- Report abnormalities, defects, or equipment issues promptly to senior tool makers or engineers.
Safety & Housekeeping
- Follow all safety procedures during machining, handling chemicals and operating equipment.
- Maintain 5S standards.
Job Requirements:
- NITEC/Higher NITEC in Precision Engineering, Tool & Die, or related fields.
- 8 years of experience in tooling, mould making or precision machining.
- Basic knowledge of machining processes (milling/turning, grinding, mold assembly and polishing).
- Understanding of precision measurements.
- Interest in optical moulds, lens tooling, or ultra-precision machining is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and work under minimal supervision.
- Experience with mirror-finishing, polishing, or optical surface finishing is preferred.
- Exposure to cleanroom environments or precision assembly is preferred.

Work Hours: Monday to Saturday (A-Shift 06:45hr to 14:45hr, B-Shift 14:45hr to 22:45hr, C-Shift 22:45hr to 6:45hr)
Pay: $3,000.00 - $4,300.00 per month
Work Location: In person
