The Opportunity

The Payroll Officer will provide accurate payroll administration, maintain compliant payroll records, respond to employee queries within SLAs, assist with reporting, and identify opportunities to improve payroll processes.

This position is based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with end-to-end payroll processing across Australia, the UK, Singapore, and other regions.
• Process employee onboarding, salary and position changes, and employment exits.
• Review and process timesheets, allowances, overtime, expenses, and payroll adjustments.
• Maintain accurate employee records and payroll data.
• Support payroll reporting, audits, and compliance activities.
• Respond to payroll-related queries and liaise with employees and internal stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Minimum year 12 (or equivalent) secondary education certificate

Essential Experience

• At least 3-5 years experience in payroll administration with multiple awards and/or workplace agreements
• Understanding of Australian/Singapore/Malaysia/UK legislative requirements (preferred)
• Experience maintaining payroll records and employee data.
• Experience responding to payroll-related queries and providing timely, professional support to employees
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and payroll systems (experience with Definitive, iChris, or similar payroll software is an advantage).
• Ability to interpret employment contracts and apply payroll-related entitlements.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to meet strict payroll deadlines.
