Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated WSH Coordinator to implement safety policies, conduct risk assessments, and ensure compliance with Singapore’s Workplace Safety and Health Act in semiconductor fabrication plant construction projects.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily site safety inspections to identify unsafe conditions and enforce immediate corrective actions
  • Assist in compiling, reviewing, and maintaining Master Risk Assessment records and Safe Work Procedures for on-site activities such as confined spaces, working at heights, and high-purity gas piping installation
  • Review and process daily Permit-to-Work applications for high-risk operations before construction activities commence
  • Respond promptly to near-misses, incidents, or accidents by conducting root-cause investigations and preparing detailed incident reports for management and MOM iReport submission if required
  • Organize and conduct site safety inductions, toolbox meetings, and safety promotion activities to build a strong safety culture among subcontractors and workers
  • Maintain and update safety documentation, training logs, and inspection records to ensure compliance with ISO 45001 and local regulatory requirements

Required competencies and certifications

  • WSQ Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety & Health (WSH Level B) or equivalent certification recognized by MOM

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Standard operational safety certificates such as Building Construction Supervisors Safety Course (BCSS) or Managing Work At Heights / Confined Space Safety Assessors
  • Minimum 2 to 3 years of relevant experience as a Safety Coordinator in high-tech industrial construction, pharmaceutical, or semiconductor construction sectors
  • Foundational knowledge of the Singapore Workplace Safety and Health Act and subsidiary legislations
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with client representatives, project managers, and site workers
  • Proactive hazard identification and strong sense of responsibility
