Responsibilities

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Margin Operations Analyst to support collateral management and margin operations across Global Markets.

This role is ideal for professionals with hands-on experience in margin processing, Initial Margin (IM) exposure reconciliation, collateral management, and margin dispute resolution within a banking or financial markets environment.

You will play an important role in ensuring accurate and timely margin movements while supporting strong operational controls and compliance with global regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process and monitor daily margin movements accurately and within required timelines.
  • Perform reconciliation and investigation of Initial Margin (IM) exposure and margin-related breaks.
  • Investigate, manage, and resolve margin disputes and discrepancies with relevant internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support day-to-day collateral management and margin operations across Global Markets.
  • Monitor outstanding margin items and ensure timely escalation and resolution of operational issues.
  • Ensure margin activities comply with relevant regulatory frameworks and internal control requirements.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders, counterparties, and cross-functional teams to resolve margin and collateral-related queries.
  • Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for system enhancements, new functionality, and operational changes.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational processes, controls, and workflow efficiency.
  • Support reporting, risk management, audit, and governance requirements related to margin operations.

Requirements

  • Relevant experience in Margin Operations, Collateral Management, or Global Markets Operations.
  • Hands-on knowledge of margin processing, Initial Margin reconciliation, and margin dispute resolution.
  • Experience with AcadiaSoft or other collateral/margin management systems is highly preferred.
  • Good understanding of global regulatory frameworks such as EMIR, Dodd-Frank, or HKMA requirements.
  • Exposure to OTC derivatives and financial markets operations is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical, reconciliation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage operational risks and exceptions.
  • Experience in UAT, system enhancements, or process improvement initiatives is an advantage.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Banking, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
