Key Responsibilities
1. Mill Financial Closing & Reporting
- Lead monthly mill financial close activities, ensuring timely and accurate reporting of manufacturing costs.
- Review and analyse mill conversion costs, overheads, inventory-related expenses, and cost allocations.
- Ensure completeness and accuracy of accruals, provisions, and month-end journal entries.
- Coordinate with shared services and accounting teams to resolve closing issues and reporting gaps.
- Support statutory, internal, and external audit requirements relating to manufacturing operations.
2. Forecasting & Budgeting
- Lead Annual Operating Plan (AOP), quarterly forecasts, and month-end latest estimates for manufacturing and logistics costs.
- Develop detailed cost forecasts for labour, utilities, maintenance, warehousing, freight, and other supply chain expenses.
- Partner with operations and logistics teams to validate assumptions and identify risks and opportunities.
- Consolidate plant and distribution cost forecasts into management reporting packages.
3. Variance Analysis & Cost Management
- Perform detailed analysis of Actual vs Budget, Forecast, Prior Year, and Standard Cost variances.
- Identify key cost drivers across manufacturing and distribution operations.
- Conduct root-cause analysis on conversion cost, warehouse cost, and freight variances.
- Track cost-saving initiatives, productivity projects, and cost mitigation plans.
- Highlight financial risks and recommend corrective actions to management.
4. Distribution Cost MIS & Business Insights
- Own preparation of monthly Distribution Cost MIS covering:
- Freight Cost
- Warehouse Cost
- CFA/3PL Cost
- Secondary Transportation Cost
- Cost per Unit / Cost per Case Analysis
- Logistics Productivity Tracking
- Develop dashboards and performance reports for supply chain leadership.
- Generate insights on cost-to-serve, volume leverage, network optimisation, and logistics efficiency.
- Support management reviews with concise business commentary and actionable recommendations.
5. Business Partnering & Governance
- Partner with Manufacturing, Logistics, Procurement, and Planning teams to drive financial accountability.
- Support evaluation of supply chain projects, capex investments, and network optimisation initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with company financial policies, controls, and governance requirements.
- Support business case preparation, productivity tracking, and strategic decision-making.
Experience:
- 2–3 years of Supply Chain Finance experience.
- FMCG domain preferred.
Pay: RM8,500.00 - RM9,500.00 per month
Work Location: Hybrid remote in Petaling Jaya
