We are looking for a Senior Technical Delivery Engineer to be based in Kota Damansara.
Job Summary
The Senior Technical Delivery Engineer is a hands-on technical leader responsible for the design, implementation, and lifecycle management of the organization's core infrastructure across networking, systems, storage, and security domains. Beyond day-to-day network operations, this role owns solution architecture for complex enterprise environments — LAN, WAN, wireless, firewall, VPN, SD-WAN, and cloud — while extending expertise into server and virtualization platforms, storage and backup, and end-to-end infrastructure security. As a senior member of the team, the engineer sets technical standards, leads critical projects from design through go-live, mentors junior engineers and the NOC L1 team, and serves as the highest point of escalation for complex incidents. The role requires strong cross-domain knowledge, sound judgment under pressure, and the ability to translate business requirements into resilient, secure, and scalable infrastructure solutions.
Key Responsibilities
1. Network Architecture, Design & Implementation:
- Own the design and architecture of enterprise network solutions across LAN, WAN, wireless, firewall, VPN, load balancing, and SD-WAN.
- Deploy, configure, and support routers, switches, wireless controllers, firewalls, load balancers, and SD-WAN appliances.
2. Systems & Server Infrastructure:
- Deploy and maintain server infrastructure and virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware vSphere / Microsoft Hyper-V).
- Administer Windows Server and/or Linux environments, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and patch management.
3. Storage & Backup:
- Provision, configure, and manage storage systems (SAN / NAS) and associated storage fabric.
- Implement and maintain backup, replication, and disaster recovery (DR) solutions.
- Monitor storage capacity, performance, and data protection; conduct restore and DR testing.
4. Security & Compliance:
- Design and enforce network security controls, including firewall/UTM policies, network segmentation, VPN, IPS/IDS, and secure remote access.
- Implement infrastructure hardening, access control, and identity/privilege management aligned with best practices.
5. Network & Infrastructure Operations:
- Monitor and maintain infrastructure performance, availability, and security across all domains.
- Troubleshoot complex issues spanning routing, switching, VPN, firewall, DNS, storage, virtualization, and connectivity.
6. Project Delivery & Technical Leadership:
- Partner with Project Managers and delivery teams to plan, scope, and execute infrastructure projects.
- Provide technical leadership across the project lifecycle — design, build, UAT, go-live, and post-implementation verification.
7. Continuous Improvement
- Evaluate and recommend emerging networking, systems, storage, and security technologies.
- Define and maintain technical standards, best practices, and operational documentation.
- Knowledge Transfer, Mentoring & Team Enablement
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance across the team.
- Deliver knowledge-transfer sessions and develop SOPs, troubleshooting guides, and knowledge-base articles.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent hands-on experience).
- Minimum 5–8 years of enterprise network engineering experience, with demonstrable exposure to systems, storage, and security.
- Proven track record leading infrastructure projects from design through implementation.
- Certifications (one or more preferred)
- Networking: CCNP / CCIE (or equivalent — Juniper JNCIP, Aruba, etc.)
- Security: Fortinet NSE, Palo Alto PCNSE, Check Point CCSA/CCSE, or CISSP / CompTIA Security+
- Systems / Virtualization: VMware VCP, Microsoft Azure / Windows Server certifications
- Storage / Cloud: Vendor storage certifications (NetApp, Dell EMC) or AWS/Azure associate-level
- Strong command of routing and switching protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, VLAN, STP, etc.).
- Firewalls and security platforms (e.g., Fortinet, Palo Alto, Cisco ASA/Firepower), VPN (IPSec/SSL), and network segmentation.
- Server virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V), Windows/Linux administration, Active Directory, DNS/DHCP.
- Storage (SAN/NAS), backup, and DR technologies.
- Cloud networking (Azure / AWS / GCP) and hybrid connectivity.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools and, ideally, automation/scripting (Python, Ansible, PowerShell).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability under pressure.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to lead, mentor, and collaborate across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Self-driven, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
- May require on-call support, after-hours maintenance windows, and occasional travel to sites/data centers.
Benefits: 5-day week, Life Insurance, performance bonus, Overseas Company Trip, etc.
Pay: RM6,500.00 - RM10,000.00 per month
Experience:
- networking engineering: 5 years (Required)
Work Location: In person
