Positition: Cashier

Department: Cashiering

Report to: Chief Cashier

Responsibility:

• Welcome customers politely and provide friendly customer service.
• Scan items accurately using the POS (Point of Sale) system.
• Handle cash, debit/credit card, and e-wallet payments.
• Issue receipts and provide the correct balance/change.
• Pack customers' groceries carefully into shopping bags.
• Answer customer enquiries and assist with exchanges or returns according to store policy.
• Promote ongoing promotions, membership offers, or recommend products when appropriate.
• Balance the cash drawer and prepare daily sales reports at the end of the shift.
• Keep the cashier counter clean, organized, and presentable.
• Follow company procedures, safety rules, and maintain a professional appearance.

Requirements commonly expected:

• Minimum SPM qualification.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Basic math and computer/POS system skills.
• Honest, responsible, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
• Previous cashier or retail experience is an advantage, but fresh graduates are often welcome.

Pay: RM1,700.00 - RM2,000.00 per month
