Core Objective: Drive global sourcing and procurement strategies to ensure cost competitiveness, supply continuity, and compliance during product transfers, New Product Introductions (NPI), and localization initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Global Sourcing & Strategy: Develop and execute sourcing strategies for key commodities (cables, wires, connectors, PCBs, electrical components, and EMS materials). Onboard suppliers and monitor their performance.

Cost & Commercial Management: Lead commercial negotiations (pricing, contracts, logistics) and drive cost optimization via BOM analysis, price benchmarking, and supplier consolidation.

Operations & Risk Mitigation: Oversee daily purchasing execution (POs, tracking, issue resolution) and implement risk mitigation strategies to handle material shortages, MOQ constraints, and logistics challenges.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Align procurement strategies between the JV organizations and partner with Engineering to ensure sourcing readiness for NPI and localization plans.

Job Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Electrical Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience:

More than 5 years of strong procurement experience in EMS, electrical, automation equipment, or manufacturing industries.

At least 4 years specifically within the semiconductor industry.

Min of 3 years of leadership experience in regional or global sourcing roles.

Assets: Possession of an established, reliable EMS-related supplier base.

Key Skills: Strong commercial acumen (BOM analysis, margin strategies), proficiency in MS Excel, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to communicate effectively in multicultural settings.

International experience

Proficiency in Mandarin is mandatory due to business communication requirements.

Pay: RM5,000.00 - RM9,000.00 per month
