About the Role

We're is looking for an experienced Senior Supplier Quality Management Engineer to manage and develop supplier quality across its global supply chain.

As a leading Automated Test System (ATS) company, Aemulus works closely with suppliers supporting PCB and Mechanical Sheet Fabrication manufacturing. This role is responsible for ensuring supplier quality, delivery performance, and manufacturing capability while driving continuous improvement initiatives throughout the supplier network.

This position is ideal for candidates with strong supplier quality management experience in the electronics, EMS, or semiconductor manufacturing industry, particularly those who have worked closely with outsourced suppliers and contract manufacturers.

Key Responsibilities

Supplier Quality Management

• Lead supplier qualification, evaluation, approval, and periodic performance reviews.
• Assess supplier manufacturing capabilities, quality systems, and process maturity.
• Conduct supplier audits covering PCB, PCBA, machining, sheet metal fabrication, cable assembly, and related manufacturing processes.
• Monitor supplier performance using KPIs, PPM, OTD, SCAR closure, and supplier scorecards.
• Drive supplier quality improvement initiatives to enhance quality, delivery, cost, and reliability.
• Develop strategic suppliers to support business growth and manufacturing capacity.

Supplier Development

• Lead First Article Inspection (FAI), PPAP, FAIR, process validation, and supplier readiness activities.
• Review supplier documentation including:
• Control Plans
• PFMEA
• Process Flow
• Work Instructions
• Inspection Plans
• Verify supplier compliance with engineering drawings, IPC standards, and customer specifications.
• Support supplier onboarding, localization, and process transfer activities.

Supplier Quality Assurance

• Lead Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCAR) and 8D investigations.
• Perform root cause analysis and verify corrective action effectiveness.
• Coordinate containment actions and production recovery plans.
• Investigate supplier-related quality issues involving PCB, PCBA, mechanical fabrication, and purchased components.
• Participate in MRB, deviation, waiver, and engineering change discussions.

Incoming Quality & Production Support

• Support Incoming Quality Assurance (IQA) for purchased materials and components.
• Establish inspection criteria based on supplier capability and risk assessment.
• Review FAIR reports, dimensional reports, Certificates of Conformance (COC), and material certifications.
• Support NPI, engineering builds, pilot production, and production ramp-up activities.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with Purchasing, Engineering, Manufacturing, R&D, and Contract Manufacturers.
• Participate in Design Reviews, ECO/ECN implementation, and DFM discussions.
• Support supplier and customer audits.
• Lead supplier quality meetings and quarterly business reviews.

Continuous Improvement

• Drive Lean Six Sigma improvement initiatives across the supplier base.
• Lead cost reduction projects through yield improvement and process optimization.
• Promote quality awareness throughout the supply chain.
• Mentor junior Supplier Quality Engineers (Senior level).

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in:
• Supplier Quality Engineering
• Quality Engineering
• Manufacturing Engineering
• Supplier Development
• Experience within the electronics, EMS, or semiconductor manufacturing industry is highly preferred.
• Strong experience managing outsourced suppliers and contract manufacturers.
• Experience handling suppliers for at least one of the following:
• PCB
• PCBA
• Mechanical Sheet Fabrication
• Machining
• Metal Fabrication
• Experience conducting supplier audits and supplier quality improvement activities.
• Knowledge of FAI, PPAP, PFMEA, SCAR, 8D, and quality management systems.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
• Highly organized with excellent communication abilities.
• Able to work independently and manage multiple supplier projects simultaneously.
