Inter Island Group Hiring! Full Time Supplier Quality Management Engineer in Pulau Pinang, Earn up to MYR 10,000 - Ricebowl

Job Responsibilities

• Evaluate and qualify suppliers to ensure they meet quality, delivery, and performance standards.
• Conduct supplier audits and assessments to identify improvement opportunities.
• Monitor supplier performance and follow up on quality issues through corrective and preventive actions.
• Support supplier onboarding, qualification, and continuous improvement activities.
• Review supplier documentation, inspection reports, and manufacturing processes to ensure compliance with product specifications.
• Support incoming quality inspection and verification of supplied materials.
• Collaborate with Purchasing, Engineering, Manufacturing, and suppliers to resolve quality-related issues.
• Participate in new product introduction (NPI) and production readiness activities.
• Track supplier quality performance and prepare quality reports.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance supplier capability and product quality.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
• At least 3 years of experience in Supplier Quality, Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in the electronics or semiconductor manufacturing industry is an added advantage.
• Knowledge of supplier quality systems, quality audits, and corrective action processes.
• Familiarity with PCB, PCBA, mechanical components, fabrication, or related manufacturing processes is preferred.
• Good analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
• Well-organized with good time management skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Senior applicants should have experience leading supplier improvement projects and mentoring junior engineers.

Salary up to RM 10.000 based on experience
