1.Job Summary
The Doctor Resident is responsible for providing clinical support, patient care, and medical services under the supervision of senior doctors. This role includes performing assessments, assisting in treatment plans, and ensuring high standards of patient safety and service quality.
2. Key ResponsibilitiesClinical Duties
- Perform patient examinations, history taking, and initial assessments.
- Assist in diagnosing medical conditions and developing treatment plans.
- Monitor patient progress and update medical records accurately.
- Conduct ward rounds with senior doctors and follow up on patient needs.
- Assist in minor procedures and provide emergency care when required.
- Patient Care
- Provide compassionate, respectful, and ethical care to all patients.
- Communicate clearly with patients and families regarding conditions and treatment.
- Ensure patient confidentiality and compliance with medical ethics.
- Administrative Responsibilities
- Document clinical findings, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in the system.
- Assist in preparing reports, referrals, and medical documentation.
- Operational Support
- Coordinate with nurses, pharmacists, and other clinical staff for smooth operations.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and infection control.
- Support the clinic/ward operations during peak hours or staff shortages.
- Training & Development
- Attend training sessions, CME programs, and clinical workshops.
- Participate in case discussions, presentations, and educational activities.
- Continuously improve medical knowledge and clinical skills.
3. Qualifications & Requirements
- MBBS or equivalent recognized medical degree.
- Valid medical license (MMC).
- Strong clinical knowledge and willingness to learn.
- Good communication, teamwork, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment.
4. Working Conditions
- Shift-based schedule including weekends or public holidays if required.
- Exposure to clinical and emergency settings.
Pay: RM7,500.00 - RM10,000.00 per month
