What this job involves:
Manage day-to-day operations and maintenance of all school facilities, including academic buildings, sport complexes, dormitories (if applicable), and grounds
Oversee HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety, security and building automation systems
Lead a team of in-house technicians and coordinate with external contractors for specialized services
Develop and implemented preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime
Ensure full compliance with location regulations, health & safety standards, and international school accreditation requirements
Manage facility-related budgets, vendor contracts and service-level agreements
Respond promptly to emergency situations (e.g. power outages, water leaks, security incidents)
Required Skills and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Building Services, or a related field (or requivalent practical experience)
Minimum of 5 years of facilities management experience, preferably in educational, institutional or complex multi-building environments
Strong technical expertise in building systems - demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and manage mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) infrastructure
Proven experience managing maintenance teams and third-party vendors
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Fluency in English (written and spoken), additional languages are a plus
