Job Summary 


The Executive / Senior Executive, Project Management, is responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering strategic sustainability programmes that advance the mission of UNGCMBC. The successful candidate will manage multiple projects concurrently, oversee project timelines and deliverables, coordinate stakeholder engagement, monitor project performance, and support reporting and evaluation. This role requires strong organisational and project management skills, the ability to build collaborative relationships, and a proactive approach to driving high-quality programme delivery and continuous improvement.


Key Responsibilities


Project Management

  • Assist in the planning, coordination, and implementation of assigned sustainability programmes, ensuring delivery within scope, timeline, and budget.
  • Manage project workplans, timelines, budgets, and deliverables, while proactively identifying and mitigating project risks.
  • Coordinate project activities and monitor progress against agreed milestones and objectives, providing regular updates and recommendations to management.


Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with partners, corporate participants, consultants, and other key stakeholders to support successful project delivery.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned projects, ensuring effective communication, stakeholder engagement, and coordination throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Organise meetings, workshops, and other programme-related events, managing logistics and follow-up actions.


Monitoring, Evaluation & Reporting

  • Prepare and maintain project documentation, including proposals, reports, presentations, meeting minutes, and other project-related materials.
  • Collect, analyse, and report project data to monitor progress, evaluate outcomes, and support organisational learning and continuous improvement.
  • Prepare regular progress reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.


Requirements


  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Project Management, Sustainability, International Relations or a related field.
  • Executive: Minimum 2 years of relevant professional experience in project management, sustainability, or a related field.
  • Senior Executive: Minimum 3–5 years of relevant professional experience with demonstrated experience leading projects independently.
  • Demonstrated experience managing projects involving multiple stakeholders from planning through implementation, monitoring and evaluation.
  • Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver projects within agreed timelines.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills, with experience working across the private, public and/or development sectors.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing proposals, presentations, reports, and other project documentation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and project management tools (e.g. Asana) is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of corporate sustainability, ESG, the UN Global Compact principles, the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and related sustainability frameworks.
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin is an advantage.
  • For non-Malaysian candidates, a valid visa to work in Malaysia is required.
